ALONE
I wander lonely as a cloud
a single person in a crowd
of couples
I feel the loss, the empty pain
and wonder if I'll feel again,
a part of a relationship
a half of a whole
I know that I must become
myself, a whole, a me, just one
before I can become a part
of something else.
I wonder do I have the strength
to wait, to endure, to become
do I have the desire to change
the willpower to make it happen
or will I remain
alone
in a crowd of couples?
