FINE TUNE AND REV UP YOUR COMMUNICATION
AND LEADERSHIP SKILLS

The Valley Vintage Advanced Toastmasters Club is a new Toastmasters club which started in January 2010 and chartered June 30, 2010. This new club joins the other 5
Toastmasters clubs now serving the Ottawa Valley area. Anyone
18+ years old is
invited to attend as a guest and explore the benefits of the Toastmasters
program. You do not have to call in advance and you do not need to join at your
first meeting. It is recommended that you come and experience the advanced Toastmasters
meetings before deciding to join as a member. Advanced clubs help you further develop your speaking skills. No matter what your level, Toastmasters has something to
offer.
Our mission is to attract and keep a loyal following of experienced Toastmasters, who are eager to fine tune their communication and leadership skills, by offering an enhanced Toastmasters experience in a highly motivated, mutually supportive, positive environment. Emphasis will be on creative and professional advanced speeches, innovative impromptus, and excellent detailed evaluations. Valley Vintage will offer every member the opportunity to develop the skills and self confidence necessary to be a confident, well respected communicator and leader.
Toastmasters International, formed in 1924, is the largest non-profit organization in the world dedicated to helping individuals develop and improve public speaking and/or leadership skills. More than 195,000 members belong to Toastmasters International through 9600 clubs in more than 80 countries.
In keeping with the concept of a "Club", Toastmasters is not a course of study but an opportunity for members to self-pace and focus on those goals which are of importance to them. Every meeting each member will have at least one opportunity to voluntarily speak in public - that public being the club membership. These speaking opportunities vary from short prepared speeches, to impromptu speaking, to emceeing, to just introducing yourself, all in a very supportive environment.
Valley Vintage is also open to help the general public who might have a speaking engagement coming up such as a wedding toast, a workplace presentation, or a presentation for a new job. Our members are willing to evaluate and provide positive feedback to help you be successful. You can contact Lynne at 613-623-9863 to find out how to get on the agenda. You are welcome to drop in to a meeting to find out more information.
